The CHS Volleyball Program will be hosting our 7th annual Leap for a Cure match on October 19th. This year’s match will feature our Central High Eagles vs. the North High Vikings. The game times start at 4:30 with the Freshmen team, followed by JV at 5:30, and Varsity at 6:30.
Leap-For-A-Cure is a grassroots effort to benefit the Omaha community with Brain Cancer awareness, education, and treatment. This foundation was founded by the Roberts family (Michele Roberts, CHS Foundation) to raise awareness in 2008. Leap-For-A-Cure was organized to help benefit awareness so that early detection and treatment plans can add years to lives and treat the disease. Please consider donating to this worthy cause.
CHS Staff: Dr. Bennett has graciously given us the opportunity to wear jeans on October 19th for those that donate to the cause and/or purchase a t-shirt. Jeans can be worn with Eagle gear or Leap for a Cure t-shirt . As always, please no tennis shoes.
We will be selling t-shirts starting Oct 16th. If you would like to purchase one, we will be selling in the courtyard before school and during lunch periods or let Angela (Cap) Thorn know. Please make checks payable to Central High School or you can purchase one through this link. Please know, we have a limited number of t-shirts available so get your orders in soon!
Besides great volleyball, there will be a raffle that night! Each team is making a basket for the raffle. We have also had other donations for the raffle such as restaurant gift cards, golf gift cards, etc.
